Landsat
Landsat merupakan program
satelit observasi Bumi tertua yang masih berjalan hingga saat ini. Pengamatan
optik dengan resolusi 30 meter telah dilakukan sejak awal tahun 1980an
menggunakan satelit-satelit Landsat. Pengambilan gambar pada gelombang
inframerah kemudian dilakukan sejak diluncurkannya Landsat 5. Saat ini, terdapat
satelit Landsat
7 dan Landsat 8 yang mengorbit
Bumi dan aktif mengambil gambar permukaan Bumi. Sementara itu, satelit Landsat 9 kini sedang dalam
fase perencanaan.
Landsat is the oldest Earth observation satellite program still
operating. Optical observations with a resolution of 30 meters have been
conducted since the early 1980s using Landsat satellites. Infrared imaging was
then introduced with the launch of Landsat 5. Currently, the Landsat 7 and
Landsat 8 satellites are orbiting Earth and actively capturing images of the
Earth's surface. Meanwhile, the Landsat 9 satellite is currently in the
planning phase.
MODIS
MODIS telah mengambil
gambar permukaan Bumi hampir setiap hari. Instrumen MODIS telah melakukan
pengamatan sejak tahun 2000 dengan menumpangi satelit Terra dan Aqua milik
NASA.
MODIS has been taking images of Earth's surface almost daily.
The MODIS instrument has been observing since 2000 aboard NASA's Terra and Aqua
satellites.
Sentinel
ESA saat ini telah mengoperasikan proyek konstelasi
satelit Sentinel. Saat ini, tengah direncanakan tujuh misi
dengan tujuan yang berbeda-beda pada tiap misinya. Sentinel-1 (pencitraan SAR), Sentinel-2 (pencitraan optik untuk permukaan Bumi), dan Sentinel-3 (pencintraan optik dan panas untuk permukaan darat dan
air) saat ini telah berada di orbit.
ESA currently operates the Sentinel satellite constellation.
Seven missions are currently planned, each with a different objective.
Sentinel-1 (SAR imaging), Sentinel-2 (optical imaging of the Earth's surface),
and Sentinel-3 (optical and thermal imaging of land and water surfaces) are
currently in orbit.
