Tektonika,

Tektonika memiliki beberapa arti, yaitu:

·      Cabang ilmu geologi yang mempelajari struktur dan deformasi bumi, asal usul, dan evolusinya 

·      Pengertian struktur dan konstruksi yang dipertimbangkan dari segi estetika 

·      Ilmu yang mempelajari seni konstruksi dengan fokus pada fungsi estetika struktur yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi alam dan budaya lokal 

Kata tektonika berasal dari Bahasa Yunani yang berarti pertukangan kayu atau pembangunan. 

Tectonics

Dalam arsitektur, tektonika merupakan integrasi antara struktur, konstruksi, dan arsitektur. Bentuk-bentuk hasil tektonika merupakan ungkapan dari suatu nilai dan kaya akan makna. 

Dalam geologi, tektonika mempelajari proses tektonika yang membentuk struktur geologi dan memengaruhi bentuk permukaan bumi. Beberapa pokok bahasan dalam tektonika geologi adalah: Dasar mekanika batuan, Jenis-jenis deformasi, Skala dalam tektonika. 

Aktivitas tektonik dapat menghasilkan objek-objek dengan pemandangan alam yang indah, seperti tempat-tempat yang berpotensi wisata.
