memahami Teknologi Pengolahan dan Pemurnian yang meliputi kebijakan PNT
(Peningkatan Nilai Tambah), Kominusi, Klasifikasi, Pemisahan, dan Ekstraksi
dimana Pertambangan di Indonesia telah memberikan kontribusi bagi pertumbuhan
ekonomi karena cukup luasnya area
pertambangan mineral baik skala kecil
hingga skala besar (industri) di Indonesia. Kegiatan ini telah membuka lapangan
kerja bagi masyarakat di daerah sekitar Pertambangan, tetapi tahap atau proses
kegiatan ini masih belum banyak dilakukan secara tepat terutama oleh
Pertambangan skala kecil yang dilakukan secara tradisional dengan mengabaikan pemilihan
teknologi pemrosesan yang belum tepat, dampak lingkungan, termasuk kesehatan
masyarakat setempat.

Policy and Strategy of The Neighborhood Leadership Assembly of The Great
Mandailing Foundation to recommend to the
Department of Mining Engineering, the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering
of MU (Mandailing University) to update by understanding the Processing and
Purification Technology which includes policies of Increasing Added Value,
Comminution, Classification, Separation and Extraction where Mining in
Indonesia has contributed to economic growth due to the large size of mineral
mining areas in small-scale to a large scale (industry) in Indonesia. This
activity has opened up employment opportunities for people in the area around
Mining, but the stage or process of this activity is still not done properly,
especially by small-scale mining that is done traditionally by ignoring the
selection of inappropriate processing technology, environmental impacts,
including the health of the local community.

memutakhirkan dengan memahami Teknologi Pengolahan dan Pemurnian yang meliputi selama
ini komoditi tambang hampir seluruhnya diekspor dalam bentuk bahan mentah untuk
diolah dan dimurnikan di luar negeri. Hanya sedikit dari bahan tambang itu yang
diolah di dalam negeri, itu pun hanya sampai menjadi bahan setengah jadi. Nikel
dilebur menjadi nickel matte yang
kemudian diekspor untuk bahan baku industri berat, sedangkan timah dilebur
menjadi timah batangan. Saat ini Peraturan Menteri telah menerbitkan Peraturan
Menteri No. 07/2012 yang menyatakan bahwa komoditas tambang wajib untuk diolah
dan/atau dimurnikan di dalam negeri minimal mengikuti batasan minimum sesuai dengan Peraturan
tersebut.

Engineering, the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering of MU (Mandailing
University) to update by understanding the Processing and Purification
Technology which covers so far mining commodities are almost entirely
exported in the form of raw materials to be processed and refined abroad. Only
a little of the mine material is processed domestically, it only becomes
semi-finished material. Nickel is melted into nickel matte which is then
exported to heavy industrial raw materials, while tin is melted into tin bars.
At present the Ministerial Regulation has issued Ministerial Regulation No.
07/2012 which states that mining commodities must be processed and/or refined
in the country at a minimum following minimum limits in accordance with the
Regulation.

sebelumnya Pertambangan di Indonesia hanya memiliki 1 (satu) UU (Undang –
Undang) Pertambangan No. 11/1967, setelah sekitar 42 tahun barulah terbit UU
(Undang – Undang) No. 04 Tahun 2009 tentang Pertambangan Mineral dan Batubara
yang mengatur secara komprehensif dan nasionalis dalam mengelola Pertambangan.
Undang – Undang No.11/1967 sendiri dibuat dalam rangka inventasi tambang emas
terbesar di dunia yaitu PT. Freeport di Papua. Karena saat terbentuknya Undang –
Undang No. 11/1967 masih belum banyak tenaga – tenaga ahli pertambangan yang
ada, karena itu Undang – Undang No. 11/1967 ini tidak memiliki kekuatan di
dalam pengelolaan pertambangan seperti yang diharapkan dari UUD 1945 (Undang –
Undang Dasar Tahun 1945) Pasal 33 Untuk Memperoleh
Manfaat Sebesar-besarnya untuk Kesejahteraan Rakyat.

Engineering, the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering of MU (Mandailing
University) to update by understanding the Processing and Purification
Technology which includes that previously Mining in Indonesia only has
1 (one) Law of Mining No. 11/1967, after about 42 years only the Law No. 04 of
2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining which regulates comprehensively and
nationalist in managing Mining. Law No.11 / 1967 itself was made in the
framework of the world's largest gold mining inventory, namely PT. Freeport in
Papua. Because when the Law No. 11/1967 there are still not many personnel of
the existing mining experts, because of that the Law No. 11/1967 does not have
the power in the management of mining as expected from the Constitution in 1945
Article 33 to Obtain the Greatest Benefit for the People's Welfare.

ukuran kasarnya berukuran lebih dari 1 (satu) cm. Sedangkan penggerusan
menghasilkan produk yang ukurannya lebih kecil dari 100 mesh (150µm). Beberapa faktor
yang perlu diperhatikan dalam proses kominusi adalah 1. Mudah atau sukarnya
bahan galian tersebut hancur (brittleness),
2. Struktur dan fraktur bahan galian jika pecah, 3. Kekerasan bahan galian, dan
4. Berat jenis bahan galian.

comminution is carried out in several stages, the main operations are Crushing
and Grinding. Crushing is the first stage of using a crusher and producing a
product whose rough size is more than 1 (one) cm. Whereas grinding produces a
product smaller than 100 mesh (150μm). Some of the factors that need to be
considered in the comminution process are: 1. The ease or difficulty of the
excavated material is brittleness, 2. The structure and fracture of the
excavated material if broken, 3. The hardness of the excavated material, and 4.
The specific gravity of the excavated material.
