udara, 1.2. air asam tambang, 1.3. ceceran oli bekas masuk ke kolam pengendap, 1.4.
batubara yang tertransportasi hingga ke sungai akibat tidak ada fasilitas
pengendali erosi dan sedimentasi, 1.5. sedimentasi menyebabkan kekeruhan dan
pendangkalan sungai akibat erosi dari lahan bukaan tambang, 1.6. sungai yang
dibendung dan dimanfaatkan sebagai kolam perangkap sedimen, dan 1.7. kolam
perangkap sedimen dibuat terlalu dekat dengan sungai dan tidak ada pengelolaan
air sehingga air keluar dan masuk ke sungai dengan kondisi yang keruh, 2.
Lokasi kasus pencemaran air meliputi 2.1. kolam uji coba pengolahan mineral, 2.2.
kolam penempatan tailing, 2.3. lokasi
bekas gelondong, 2.4. ditemukan ikan – ikan yang mengambang, dan 2.5.
direkomendasikan ikan – ikan tersebut tidak dikonsumsi, 3. Kolam uji pada
pengolahan bijih emas yang menggunakan sianida meliputi 3.1. kolam penampungan
larutan hasil pencucian bijih dan 3.2. kondisi sekitar kolam uji coba
pengolahan bijih emas, kolam uji coba merupakan kolam tertutup (close circuit), dan 4. Parameter hasil
analisa kualitas air meliputi 4.1. TSS (Total
Suspended Solid), 4.2. pH, 4.3. Fe, 4.4. mangan, 4.5. debit air.

pond, 1.4. coal transported to the river due to no erosion and sedimentation
control facilities, 1.5. sedimentation causes turbidity and silting of the
river due to erosion from mine opening land, 1.6. the river is dammed and used
as a sediment trap pool, and 1.7. sediment trap ponds are made too close to the
river and there is no water management so the water goes out and goes into the
river with the cloudy conditions, 2. Location of water pollution case includes
2.1. mineral processing test pool, 2.2. tailing placement pool, 2.3. former log
location, 2.4. found floating fish, and 2.5. recommended fish are not consumed,
3. The test pool for processing gold ores using cyanide includes 3.1. solution
storage ponds resulting from ore washing and 3.2. the conditions around the
gold ore processing pool, the test pond are closed pools (closed circuit), and
4. The parameters of the results of water quality analysis include 4.1. TSS

and dangerous events are 1.8.1. one of the tailing pipes broke, the position of
broke inside the pile (<1 m depth) and was not exposed to contact with
outside activity, 1.8.2. tailings spillage from the pipe flows at the ground
surface and then falls to the slope wall (about 75 m), 1.8.3. when the incident
was reported, the tailing flow in the leaking pipe was immediately stopped,
then reduced production from the factory and made corrective actions, and
1.8.4. report events to Mine Inspector, and 2. Event information includes 2.1.
source of dangerous events, tailings, 2.2. estimated period of pipe operation
termination, processing plant operations continue to take place using new
pipelines which are partially installed, and 2.3. the leaky tailings pipe
section is below the surface of berm (inside the soil). At the beginning of the
installation all parts of the pipe are above the ground, until construction is
carried out in the soil (berm) and heap some of the old tailing pipes.

atau disebut juga AAB – Air Asam Batuan (Acid
Rock Drainage, ARD) adalah air yang bersifat asam (tingkat keasaman yang
tinggi dan sering ditandai dengan nilai pH yang rendah di bawah 5) sebagai
hasil dari oksidasi mineral sulfida
yang terpajan atau terdadah (exposed)
di udara dengan kehadiran air. Kegiatan penambangan, yang kegiatan utamanya
adalah penggalian, mempercepat proses pembentukan AAT – Air Asam Tambang karena
mengakibatkan tersingkapnya mineral
sulfida ke udara, air, dan mikroorganisme. Kedua istilah (AMD dan ARD)
digunakan di kalangan pertambangan. Seringkali AMD diasosiasikan dengan
pertambangan batubara sementara ARD untuk tambang bijih atau pada kegiatan
penggalian lainnya, merupakan salah satu isu dampak lingkungan penting pada
kegiatan pertambangan. Walaupun fenomena ini sudah diketahui sejak lama,
contohnya, pertambangan tembaga (penambangan & pengolahan) di Iberian Pyrite Belt (Eropa) pada 300
tahun SM (Sebelum Masehi) telah menimbulkan AAT (Air Asam Tambang) dan Agricola
dalam bukunya De Re Metalica (1556) juga telah menuliskan dampak AAT (Air Asam
Tambang) dari kegiatan pertambangan (penambangan dan pengolahan bijih yang
mengandung sulfida).

Introduction (Formation of Mine Acid Water), 2. Identification of Potential of
Mine Acid Water includes 2.1. Charactrization and 2.2. Prediction, 3. Testing,
4. Handling Mine Acid Water - Preventive, 5. Handling Mine Acid Water -
Treatment, and 6. Monitoring. Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) or also called Acid Rock
Drainage (ARD) is acidic water (high acidity and is often characterized by a
low pH value below 5) as the result of oxidation of sulfide minerals exposed in
the air in the presence of water. Mining activities, whose main activities are
excavation, accelerate the process of forming Mine Acid Water because it
results in the exposure of sulfide minerals to air, water, and microorganisms.
Both terms (AMD and ARD) are used in mining circles. Often AMD is associated
with coal mining while ARD for ore mining or other excavation activities, is
one of the important environmental impact issues in mining activities. Although
this phenomenon has been known for a long time, for example, copper mining
(mining & processing) in the Iberian Pyrite Belt (Europe) in 300 years BC
(BC, Before Christ) has led to Acid Mine Drainage and Agricola in his book De
Re Metalica (1556) has also written the impact of Acid Mine Drainage from
mining activities (mining and processing of sulfide-containing ores).
