Mintakat pasang surut atau zona intertidal adalah daerah yang berada di atas air pada saat pasang surut dan di bawah air pada saat pasang naik (dengan kata lain, daerah antara tanda air pasang). Daerah ini dapat mencakup berbagai jenis habitat, dengan berbagai jenis hewan, seperti bintang laut, landak laut, dan spesies karang lainnya. Selain itu, daerah ini terdiri atas tebing curam berbatu, pantai berpasir, atau lahan basah, seperti lumpur yang luas. Daerah dapat menjadi sempit, seperti di pulau-pulau Pasifik yang hanya memiliki rentang pasang surut yang sempit, atau dapat mencakup banyak meter dari garis pantai di saat dangkal lereng pantai berinteraksi dengan kunjungan pasang surut yang tinggi. Zona intertidal biasanya disebut sebagai zona litoral.

The intertidal zone, is the area above water during low tide and below water during high tide (in other words, the area between the high tide mark). This zone can include a variety of habitats, with a variety of animals, such as starfish, sea urchins, and other coral species. It can also consist of steep, rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, or wetlands, such as extensive mudflats. The area can be narrow, as on Pacific islands with only a narrow tidal range, or it can encompass many meters of shoreline where shallow coastal slopes interact with high tidal excursions. The intertidal zone is often referred to as the littoral zone.
