m. Pengelolaan Air Asam Tambang

4) Dalam hal telah dilakukan pencegahan terhadap pembentukan air asam tambang tetapi masih terbentuk air asam tambang, maka pemegang IUP Operasi Produksi dan IUPK Operasi Produksi melakukan penanggulangan terhadap terbentuknya air asam tambang sampai memenuhi baku mutu lingkungan hidup sesuai dengan ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan sebelum dilepas ke badan perairan umum.

5) Penanggulangan terhadap terbentuknya air asam tambang terdiri atas:

a) cara aktif; dan/atau

b) cara pasif.

6) Penanggulangan terhadap terbentuknya air asam tambang dengan cara aktif terdiri atas:

a) penggunaan bahan kimia penetral asam seperti kapur, soda kaustik; dan/atau

b) penggunaan metode lainnya sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi.

7) Penanggulangan terhadap terbentuknya air asam tambang dengan cara pasif terdiri atas:

a) lahan basah;

b) open limestone channel; dan/atau

c) penggunaan metode lainnya sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi.

m. Acid Mine Drainage Management

4) If prevention measures have been taken to prevent the formation of acid mine drainage but it still forms, the holder of a Production Operation Mining Business Permit and a Special Production Operation Mining Business Permit must mitigate the formation of acid mine drainage until it meets environmental quality standards in accordance with statutory regulations before releasing it into public water bodies.

5) Mitigation measures for the formation of acid mine drainage consist of:

a) active methods; and/or

b) passive methods.

6) Active mitigation measures for the formation of acid mine drainage consist of:

a) the use of acid-neutralizing chemicals such as lime and caustic soda; and/or

b) the use of other methods in accordance with developments in science and technology.

7) Passive mitigation measures for the formation of acid mine drainage consist of:

a) wetlands;

b) open limestone channels; and/or

c) the use of other methods in accordance with developments in science and technology.
