Dalam masyarakat, manusia hidup secara berkelompok sesuai dengan fungsi dan proporsinya dengan maksud untuk memudahkan menjalankan tugas dan keterkaitan, dengan kata lain, kehidupan masyarakat di desa terstruktur berdasarkan peran dan fungsi masing-masing anggota masyarakat.

In society, humans live in groups according to their functions and proportions with the intention of facilitating tasks and linkages, in other words, the lives of people in the village are structured based on the roles and functions of each member of the community.

Kehidupan masyarakat berdasarkan struktur peran dan proporsi melahirkan bentuk hubungan dan ikatan yang dapat menggantikan hubungan keluarga. Hubungan antara teman seprofesi terkadang lebih erat ketimbang hubungan antara saudara kandung. Di lain pihak, semakin melebarkan struktur sosial secara horizontal juga menimbulkan keanekaragaman aspirasi yang semakin sulit untuk diakomodasikan bersama dan perubahan sosial masyarakat di desa semakin kompleks (melebar luas).

Community life based on role structure and proportion gives birth to a form of relationships and bonds that can replace family relationships. Relationships between colleagues are sometimes tighter than the relationship between siblings. On the other hand, increasing the social structure horizontally also creates a diversity of aspirations that are increasingly difficult to accommodated together and the social changes in the communities in the village are increasingly complex (wider).
