1. Pengertian Alat-alat berat.
1. Understanding of Heavy Equipment.
Alat
berat yang umum dipakai dalam proyek kostruksi antara lain :
– Dozer;
– Alat gali (excavator) seperti backhoe, front shovel, clamshell;
– Alat gali (excavator) seperti backhoe, front shovel, clamshell;
– Alat
pengangkut seperti loader, truck dan conveyor belt;
– Alat
pemadat tanah seperti roller dan compactor, dan lain
lain.
Heavy equipment commonly used in
construction projects include :
- Dozer;
- excavator such as backhoe, front
shovel, clamshell;
- Cargo carriers such as loaders,
trucks and conveyor belts;
- Soil compactor such as roller and
compactor, and others.

3. Machine functions.
Backhoe Loader merupakan gabungan dari dua alat berat yang berbeda
fungsinya. Bagian depan dilengkapi dengan bucket dan berfungsi sebagaimana loader dan
bagian belakang dilengkapi dengan perlengkapan yang sama dengan yang digunakan
pada excavator.
Backhoe Loader is a combination of
two of different heavy equipment in functions. The front is fitted with a
bucket and works just like the loader and the back is equipped with the same
equipment used on the excavator.
Excavator
digunakan untuk pekerjaan-pekerjaan seperti :
• Excavating (menggali);
• Loading (memuat
material);
• Lifting (mengangkat
beban);
• Hammering (menghancurkan
batuan);
• Drilling (mengebor),
dan lain sebagainya.
Excavators are used for jobs such as:
• Excavating;
• Loading (loading material);
• Lifting (lifting weights);
• Hammering (destroying rocks);
• Drilling (drill), and so forth.
Beberapa
pekerjaan yang dapat dikerjakan oleh Grader antara
lain adalah :
· Perataan tanah (Spreading);
· Pekerjaan tahap
akhir (finishing) pada
“pekerjaan tanah”;
· Pencampuran tanah
maupun pencampuran material (Side
cast/mixing);
· Pembuatan parit (Crowning Ditching);
· Pemberaian butiran
tanah (scarifying);
Some of the work
that Grader can do include :
• Ground leveling
(Spreading);
• Finishing work on
"soil work";
• Soil mixing and
material mixing (Side cast / mixing);
• Crowning Ditching;
• Scarifying the
grain.
Ada
dua jenis Skidder yang
digunakan yaitu :
There are two types of Skidders used
:
• Wheel Skidder;
• Track Skidder.
Kegunaan
dari Skidder adalah
untuk menarik batang kayu. Pekerjaan ini biasanya banyak dilakukan oleh
perusahaan-perusahaan kayu (logging).
The usefulness of Skidder is to pull
a log. This work is usually done by logging companies.
Wheel Tractor Scrapper, disingkat WTS, digunakan untuk
memuat, memindahkan, menyebarkan dan membuang material dalam rangka pemeliharaan jalan. Alat ini digunakan untuk
menggali muatannya sendiri, lalu mengangkut ke tempat yang ditentukan, kemudian
muatan itu disebagkan dan diratakan. Scrapper mampu
menggali/mengupas permukaan tanah sampai setebal + 2,5 mm atau menimbun suatu
tempat sampai tebal minimum + 2,5 mm pula. Scrapper dapat digunakan untuk memotong lereng
tanggul atau lereng bendungan, menggali tanah yang terdapat diantara bangunan
beton, meratakan jalan raya atau lapangan terbang. Efisiensi penggunaan Scrapper tergantung
pada : (1) kedalaman tanah yang digali, (2) kondisi mesin, dan (3) operator
yang bekerja.
Wheel Tractor Scrapper, abbreviated
WTS, is used to load, transport, distribute and dispose of materials in road
maintenance. This tool is used to dig its own cargo, then transport to the
designated place, then the charge is distributed and leveled. Scrapper is able
to dig / peel ground up to as thick as + 2.5 mm or hoard a place up to minimum
thickness + 2.5 mm also. Scrapper can be used to cut down the embankment slope
or the dam slope, digging the ground between the concrete buildings, leveling
the highway or the airfield. Efficiency of Scrapper usage depends on : (1)
depth of excavated soil, (2) engine condition, and (3) operators working.
Articulated Dump Truck, disingkat ADT, digunakan untuk
memindahkan dan membuang material dengan kapasitas terbatas dan kondisi jalan
berlumpur.
Articulated Dump Truck, abbreviated
ADT, is used to move and dispose of materials with limited capacity and muddy
road conditions.
Sama
halnya dengan ADT, Off Highway Truckjuga digunakan untuk
memindahkan material dengan kapasitas yang besar mulai 40T sampai 360T.
Similarly, ADT, Off Highway Truck is
also used to move materials with large capacity from 40T to 360T.
Mesin
ini merupakan wheel
loader yang dilengkapi dengan blade, dimana kegunaanya hampir sama dengan dozer.
This machine is a wheel loader
equipped with a blade, which is almost the same with dozer.
Track Type Loader digunakan untuk memuat material, sama
halnya dengan wheel
loader, hanya saja menggunakan track dan kapasitasnya lebih kecil.
Track Type Loader is used to load
materials, as well as wheel loaders, only using tracks and smaller capacities.
Loader adalah alat pemuat hasil galian/
gusuran dari alat berat lainnya seperti Buldoser, Grader dan
sejenisnya. Pada prinsipnya Loader merupakan
alat pembantu untuk menngangkut material
dari tempat-tempat penimbunan ke alat pengangkut lain. Selain itu Loader dapat
digunakan sebagai alat pembersih lokasi (Cleaning)
yang ringan, untuk menggusur bongkaran, menggusur tonggak - tonggak kayu kecil,
menggali pondasi basement dan
lain-lain.
Loader is a loading / digging tool
from other heavy equipment such as Bulldozer, Grader and the like. In
principle, Loader is an auxiliary tool for transporting materials from places
of landfill to other carriers. In addition, Loader can be used as a light Cleaning
location tool, to evict dismantling, displacing small wooden trunks, digging
basement foundation and others.
Track Type Tractor atau Bulldozer atau Dozer adalah alat yang dirancang untuk mendorong
material, meratakan atau menyebarkan material, mengupas permukaan tanah dan
penggunaan lainnya yang sesuai.
Track Type Tractor or Bulldozer or
Dozer is a device designed to push materials, flatten or spread the material,
peeling off the ground surface and other appropriate uses.
Power Shovel.
Dengan
memberikan shovel attachment pada excavator, maka
didapatkan alat yang disebut dengan power
shovel. Alat ini baik untuk pekerjaan menggali tanah tanpa
bantuan alat lain, dan sekaligus memuatkan ke dalam truk atau alat angkut
lainnya. Alat ini juga dapat untuk membuat timbunan bahan persediaan (stock pilling).
By providing shovel attachment on the
excavator, then a tool called the power shovel. This tool is good for the job
of digging the ground without the help of other tools, and simultaneously
loading into trucks or other means of conveyance. This tool is also able to make
pilling stock.
